Dark Earth is an action-adventure third person game. It was developed by Kalisto Entertainment and published by MicroProse. It is set in an unique post apocalyptic world. Just like in any other adventure games you collect and manipulate items, and talk with many interesting persons you encounter on you journey. There is also a weapon base combat.
The game has recorded audio dialogs. You may also use subtitles.
Even though the game does not use graphic acceleration it looks like it does. It uses pre-rendered graphics with 3D models for the characters. The story is really good. The game is not so known, but it was praised as one of the best games of 1997. It certainly deserves the title.
